The Work Goes On
The big motor and transmission require some custom work on
the transmission tunnel.
The left side of the tunnel gets contoured to make room for
the drivers foot and gas pedal.
A Vintage Air AC/heater/defrost unit goes in behind the dash.
Not much room for that Pete & Jakes chrome throttle pedal.
Up front on the motor is a Zoops Serpentine pulley system.
Originally the customer wanted a standard floor shift for
the transmission. Later, he changed his mind and decided that paddle shifters
on the steering wheel would be the way to go. So we welded up the hole.
The conical extension on the top of the trans tunnel will now be used to
mount the stereo system controls.
