This Swedish Roadster ran 190 mph at Bonneville!
Built by the Jokers car club of Sweden, this '27 "T"
really churned the salt, running with a big block Chevy motor. A few technical
problems kept them from posting a faster speed, so they plan on trying again
next year to bust the 200 mark.
These boys do some nice work.
The Jokers hail from the southwest coast of Sweden from a
place with too many letters and not enough vowels in its name. We did manage
to get their names before they left though (they were in a hurry to get
to TJ and barter for some Mexican blankets). Their names are (in no particular
order): Frederik Westergren, Mattias Andersson, Jimmy Andersson, Per Thoren
and T. Andersson. Not shown in the photo are: Daniel Johansson, Cristian
Karlsson, Tom Johansson, and Gustav Andreasson.
