Reminder: 2014 San Diego Deuce Day

It's just about 30 days until the 2014 edition of San Diego Deuce Day. October 4th is the day of the event and we wanted to remind you in case you haven't gotten your registration in to Paul Bundy yet. The show is limited to the first 100 '32's because of space limitations in our venue, Felicita Park in Escondido. Much will remain the same as the two past events: a great, low-key, shady park setting; BBQ lunch is available; unique event t-shirts designed by Steve Waldron are available; plenty of fine Deuces to look at, and plenty of fine folks to spend the day with.

This year, the downtown area of Escondido will come alive with Nitro Nite on Friday, October 3rd.  There will be around 25 nostalgia top fuel dragsters "cackling" their way down Grand Avenue. Nitro Nite is free to all and we recommend getting there in the early afternoon because folks come from far and near to witness this unique event.  Deuce owners will have limited special parking set aside on a first-come-first-serve basis at the little park on the northeast corner of Grand and Juniper, as well as on Juniper Street on the block north of Grand (between Valley Parkway and Grand Avenue).  As stated, get there early if you want to take advantage of this very limited, very special parking arrangement.  Deuces ONLY in this area !!!

If you're coming from out of town and need overnight lodging, we recommend either:

Holiday Inn Express
1250 West Valley Parkway, Escondido, CA 92029

Comfort Inn
1290 West Valley Parkway, Escondido, CA 92029

Please visit our website at:  www.sandiegodeuceday.com for registration information and links to pictures of the last two editions of San Diego Deuce Day. Let your Deuce owning friends know and have them join you on the trek to San Diego county.

Don't hesitate to contact me (see below) or Paul Bundy at: 858-449-2379, or email at:  pbundy6@cox.net

We look forward to seeing you in October.
