2014 South San Diego County Putt

Bill Story has a knack for getting hot rod guys off of the couch and on the road. When he puts out the word that he's got an idea for a "putt", you can be assured that it'll be good. Saturday, December 6th, 2014 was no exception. A couple of cars from Orange County motored down to south San Diego and met up with a few of us SD locals for a drive through some of the back roads of south San Diego county. Our trip wasn't without plenty to eat. Starting out with donuts at our jumping off point in Santee, to breakfast in Barrett Junction, to lunch on Mt. Laguna on Sunrise Highway. Old machinery was also on the menu with stops at the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum, as well as the Motor Transport Museum both in Campo. Our southernmost extent was, literally, mere yards from the US/Mexican border. A full day of miles and smiles spelled a great time for all. When Bill calls - heed the message - you won't be sorry.
