This perfect purple roadster belongs to Rich Guasco, who has
owned it since 1951 and did all the work himself.
Like the plate says, it won America's Most Beautiful Roadster
in 1961. In 1962 it won the Most Beautiful Competition Car award. We're
told that it is the only car to win both.
Unlike Garys bullet-nosed custom this is a real traditional-style
roadster.
Yes, those are socks on the oil breathers. Now you know what
to do when the dryer leaves you with all those odd socks you can't match
up. On the right, the arrow points to the window tab. On the way down to
see us the tabs broke and made for an especially chilly ride on this overcast
day. We fabricated, polished and installed new ones while the GoodGuys toured
the shop.
We all thought Rich's Roadster had the coolest fenders.
