427 Cubic-Inches of Pure Muscle!
Assembling the COPO motor required a long search for authentic
1969 427 corvette parts. Frank found the "512" casting number
block on-line in Chicago. The heads are "291" 435 HP vette heads
from Ohio. The "163" winters intake is from Iowa.
After collecting all of the external parts, including an authentic
bolt kit, 780 CFM Holley and 69 date code water pump; the assembly task
was left to JMS racing Engines in Monrovia California. There, Mike and his
crew machined and assembled what looks like a factory built 1969 427, but
it will run on todays pump gas. Even at 10:1 compression it makes 473 horsepower
493 Ft. Lbs. of torque! A bit more than the factory motors turned out when
put in the Camaro.

A match made in heaven... which, according to some, is suburb
of Detroit.
James and Troy consult the manual to make sure they are routing
the breather hose according to factory specs.
