'56 Ford F-100, Engine.
In 1956, Ford offered the F-100 with either a 223 cubic-inch
(3.7 L), "Mileage Maker" 137 hp straight-6, or a 272 cubic-inch
(4.5 L) Y-block V8 that produced 173 hp.
This isn't either one of those motors. What you see here is
a Chevy 350 small-block V8 with an Edelbrock carb, Polished aluminum intake
manifold from Professional Products, and Mooneyes header kit. Dressing out
this powerplant are Mooneyes valve-covers, breather caps, air-cleaner and
Zoops pulleys.
A replacement radiator from U.S. Radiator, Cooling Components
fan and Vintique overflow tank keep it all running cool.
Mike Adams gives Mr. Chang the keys to his "new"
F-100.
