Props? We don't need no stinkin' hood props!
Not only will this hood look different than a stock '32 Ford,
it will open differently, too.
Scott has custom fabricated these hood hinges and added a
couple of pneumatic shocks for smooth opening and closing. They will also
allow the hood to remain open without the use of those pesky hood props.
What would we do without vice grips? Except for the wheel
and the internal-combustion engine, they may be the worlds greatest invention.
Here's a good look at the latch mechanism Scott fabricated.
The hood hinges arms were fabricated from aluminum, the frame
from steel.
