'32 Ford Custom Hood Construction, con't.
Shaping of the hood and grill shell need to be done at the
same time to make sure that all the lines are blended properly.
With the hood top formed and cut to the proper length, it
is time to start working on the support structure.
To keep the engine cool under the hood, some louvering would
be nice to vent the air. Or, we could do louvers one better. How about some
vents that resemble the exhaust ports you'd find on the engine nacelle of
a WWII fighter?
Inside or out? These Deuce Steel '39 Ford taillight recesses are just right for
the job.
The piece of cardboard in the grill shell is being used to
determine the desired contour for the grill insert.
