In the six years since it began, Escondido's Cruisin' Grand Ave has grown into one of San Diego County's most popular Hot Rod destinations on a summer Friday night. On any given cruise night, you are sure to see one or more Hot Rods & Custom Stuff creations parked or cruisin' on Grand Ave.
In 2005 we decided to sponsor a special night for all of our loyal customers at the August 19th Cruisin' Grand. We invited as many of our customers as we could and asked them to join us for an old-fashioned BBQ catered by Dalton's Roadhouse.
In all, about 25 customers loaded their families into those mean-machines we built for them, and 'cruised in' for burgers, dogs and sodas. With the north end of Broadway Ave to ourselves, we filled the place with hot food and hot rods on a hot summer night. It doesn't get any better than that."
