The Doors
Now that the body is on the new frame, we can start working
on the doors. The car is going to have power windows, so modifications will
have to made.
The Vintage Air AC unit is mocked up to see how much room
will be required before starting on the dash.
Because the top has been chopped and the windshield slanted,
the door window frames that hold the glass need to be reshaped. The original
frames are used in this case - cut, ground, shaped and welded back together
so they'll fit the new contour.
The Lectra Glide II power window kits are installed and tested.
As you can see in this picture, slanting the windshield also
required shortening the collapsable spars for the top (right above the center
of the window frame).
