Tear It Down!
One of the most important steps in a project like this is
disassembly. Here is where you get to find out just what the rest of the
project is going to require. No matter how thoroughly you inspect a vehicle,
until you take it apart, there are many things you just wont see.
Since many of the parts will be used again, they are all labeled
by name and job#. In addition to that, we take lots of photos to show how
things go looked before and during disassembly. This insures that we know
how things go back together in the absence of up-to-date manuals. This is
particularly important when dealing with vehicles that may have been modified
or restored previously.
Parts that are destined for reuse will be re-chromed, painted
or powder coated. But first they will go to the blast booth to remove any
old paint or rust.
Lots of parts and pieces to keep track of.
