The motor that will eventually occupy that space will be a
Gen III LS-6. This LS-6 block is being used for mock-up and to check placement
of the motor and transmission mounts.
With the body on, clearances between the firewall and radiator
are checked.
Lars uses poster board to make templates for the hood sides.
Several layers of posterboard are glued together to make the panels stiff
enough.
Because the front frame rails sweep up, stock hood sides will
not fit and will have to be modified or made from scratch.
