65 Chevy Impala
When Shaun Dove brought his '65 Super Sport to us, it looked
just the same as in this photo, having been previously restored to original
condition. The problem was that the drive train just didn't have enough
get-up-and-go.....
.....so, we went to work rebuilding the 409, building custom
headers, exchanging the stock trans for a Richmond 5-speed, converting to
4-wheel disc brakes and a few other things neede to bring it up real
speed.
Not only does it produce more horsepower now (about 450),
its also a lot prettier. Here's the specs: bored 60 over, Ross pistons,
polished stock rods and bearings, Crane roller cam, Mallory coil and Sprint
Magneto. Fuel and air is supplied through dual Edelbrock 600cfm 4-bl carburetors.
