Chevrolet 3100 / SSR - Air Ride Shock Installation

Stock SSR front suspension. SSR standard coilover shocks.

Up front, the stock SSR has standard coilover shocks. These will be replaced with the Air Ride air bag set-up.

SSR rear shock. Installing Air Ride bags in rear.

In back, the SSR has shocks and coil springs, but they're mounted independently. The factory shocks will stay and the coil springs, mounted inboard of the frame rails, will be exchanged for a pair of Air Ride bags.

Air Ride compressed air tank. Air Ride air valve.

A few of the components that go with the Air Ride system. The air tank (left) and the air valve body.

Air Ride airbag system.

The rear airbags are kind of hard to see, so we added a big white arrow to the photo to help you locate them. No trouble spotting those factory shocks though.
