Y-Block Exhaust

Y-block headers under construction (1) Y-block headers under construction (1)

The motor that will eventually sit in the Roadster is a 340 cubic-inch, supercharged, Y-block. Till then we have an old throw-away Y-block to use for mock-ups. In this case for the exhaust system, which will be custom built from headers to exhaust tips.

The J- & U-bends used in the headers are from Specialty Products Design Inc.

The mufflers are a product of Stainless Specialties.

Exhaust system laid out on floor.

The exhaust system will include electric exhaust cut-outs from Outlaw Muffler in Rialto, Ca.

The exhaust hangers on this roadster are kind of unique. As the pipes expand from the heat, the pipes will push the hanger pins further into the recesses.
