Super Red Ram Power
The motor chosen for this project was a rebuilt 1955 Dodge
270 ci Hemi. Not only does it provide all the horse-power this truck needs,
it sounds beautifully brutal. Unlike the original flat-six, this motor puts
the "Power" in Power Wagon.
It has forged Venolia pistons with cast chrome rings that
provide a 9.5:1 compression ratio. Clay Smith cams give the stainless steel
valves .424 of lift off the hardened seats using chrome-moly push rods.
A 500 cfm Edelbrock carb tops the modified, stock 4 bbl manifold. The valve
covers were powder coated and then hand lettered.
For the most part, the interior remains stock, but has been
upgraded with a new ididit steering column and Glide Engineering seats skinned
