Blast Off!

Nomad body in blast booth

Before the repairs begin, we have to blast all the old paint off and get down to bare metal. Until this is done, the real extent of the damage will not be known. [click here to find out more about plastic-media blasting].

The rust itself often hides the extent of the rust damage. Blasting removed not only paint, but the rust that was filling in the holes you see here. Those holes were not visible before blasting.

After blasting, the frame is coated with epoxy primer and braced so work on the floors can start.
