1987 Buick Grand National - Collision Repair
Introduced in 1982, the Buick Regal, Grand National was produced
through 1987 (except for 1983). The sporty Grand National, Named for the
NASCAR Grand National racing series, came with a variety of engine packages
during its life cycle, including a turbo-charged option. In fact, when it
first debuted, the GN was the only American-made car that was turbo-charged.
In spite of its late model year, the 1987 Grand National is
a true collectors car. Nothing is worse for a car enthusiast than to see
their carefully cared for classic in this kind of distress, and nothing
but the best in restoration will do.
During its production run, Buick claimed it was the fastest
American production car available.
The Grand National's engine was a 231 cubic-inch V-6, which
by 1987 was pumping out a respectable 275-hp from its turbo-charged GNX
