1956 Chevrolet Bel Air "Nomad" with Dick Landy Race motor.

Hiding under the hood of this once humble "grocery getter" is 500 cubic-inches Chevy muscle.

This big-block chevy was put together by Dick Landy Industries. For those who don't know who Dick Landy is, he's a drag racing legend, and he knows how to put a put a no-nonsense motor together.

580 horsepower and 560 foot-pounds of torque on pump gas. Hilborn Fuel Injection with EFI, and custom headers, and steel-braided hoses round out the package. A Turbo-400 transmission and Ford 9-inch rear end put all that power to the wheels.

Aluminum radiators and Cooling Components electric fans keep it all cool.
