Field Trip
Hot Rods has been a field trip destination before, but never
from so far away. In this case, all the way from Nigata, Japan. These students
attend an automotive trade-school program similar to our ASE program in
the states. On their way to Universal Studios (the true destination, no
doubt), they stopped by the shop to see how we do things here. As we were
the only automotive stop on their agenda, we felt honored to have been picked.
With the help of interpreters, we gave them a tour of the
shop and explained the Hot Rod business to them.
Even though they don't don't see much American Iron in Japan,
most of these guys had no problem identifying the cars in our shop.
Everyone checks out the blast booth and learns about plastic
bead blasting.
Things wrap up at the paint shop so they can see the end result.
