1940 Ford Woody - Restoration
Except for the wood parts, the body is just about finished.
Once we had the body completed and wired, the metal part of
the body that is, it was time to send the whole thing out to have the wood
done. For that, we chose Messano Woodworks in San Pedro California. There
are three types of wood used in this woodie and all are the types originally
used. The framing is Maple which is gives us that spectacular wood grain,
the paneling is Birch, and the roof slats are Basswood. As you can see,
the guys at Messano's know their wood.
The roof upholstery was completed here at Hot Rods.
