2009 Street Rodder Road Tour
Every year Street Rodder Magazine has a "Road Tour"
Car built at one of America's hot rod shops, with the help of sponsor supplied
parts, and then takes that car on a cross-country tour of America's hot
rod events and places of interest. We built the 2004 Road Tour car, but
this year we were just one of many stops along the way as the 2009 Road
Tour car and its entourage of horse-power fanatics pulled in early on a
Saturday morning for coffee, donuts and tour of our
shop to start the day.
Road Tour Groupies roll in to our paint and assembly facility
in Escondido. The night before they attended Cruisin' Grand Ave., in downtown
Escondido. Offer free coffee and donuts, and they will come!
Parking behind our shop is plentifull, you just have to find
a spot amongst the old iron looking for a new home (anyone need a truck
cab?)

Randy Clark (center-left), the owner of Hot Rods & Custom Stuff.
Chick Koszis '32
Ford roadster (right), was built here at hot rods.
The Road Tour car, a 1952 Chevy, goes up on the rack for an
inspection and to fix a fuel leak.
Hmmmmm..... donuts....
After their fuel injection of caffein and sugar, the Road
Tour folks get to see some projects in the final stages of completion.
Smile! See you next year!
