1940 Mercury Eight Convertible Sedan
As classic cars go, the 1940 Mercury Eight Convertible Sedan,
is a pretty rare beast. Not many were made, and few of those have survived.
This particular Merc, while it looks like a bone stock restoration, is a
real wolf in sheeps clothing. It may look like a sedate touring sedan, and
you'd be right, except this sedan can get it done with the tires smokin'
at speeds that would turn the landscape into a blur.
The Vintique Wheels sporting Coker Wide White really set off
the PPG "Marathon Blue" paint job with 4 coats of 20/21 clear.
Even the overcast look like blue sky and sunshine in its refelction.
Under that streamlined hood lies a 351 Windsor motor stroked
out to 427 cubic inches.
When the top is up, a Vintage Air AC/Defrost keep the interior
climate comfortable.
